The 13th Annual Los Osos International Festival was held Saturday Sept. 24 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The colorful festival features live music, food from numerous countries representing the different nationalities in the church’s congregation. Among the delicious dishes was linguisa sandwiches and sopas from the Portuguese booths, brats from the German booth, lumpia at the Filipino booth, tacos and quesadillas on fresh made corn tortillas at the Mexican booths, and Lomo at the Peruvian stand, as well as special drinks and sweets too. The festival is truly a foodie’s delight and starts off with the “Parade of Flags,” from the different countries at the church and led by Fr. Joey, and a performance with the colorful Filipino Folk Dancers.
