The barbecue is set for 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at the South Bay Community Center, 2180 Palisades Ave., Los Osos. Dinner is $20 and served from 2-6 and a silent auction will also be held during that time.
Takeout orders are also being taken with pickup during the dinner hours. On the menu are tri tip, beans, garlic bread and salad.
Call (805) 602-7123 for tickets via text message. Call (805) 801-8112 to donate silent auction items. Also, they will deliver dinners if you order at least five or order dinner and donate the difference between that and $100 or more.
Neil-Shewchuck was born and raised in the Morro Bay area and is from the original Virg’s Landing Family. She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2013 and fought a hard battle with the disease, which doctors said was already in stage 4.
In March 2018, the cancer returned and is not responding to traditional treatments or platinum based chemo. Donations will help Tracy with medical costs as she continues to fight the disease.
There is also a GoFundMe account that’s been set up to help, see: http://www.gofundme.com/ux2vts to donate any amount.
