Rains Doesn’t Dampen Sea Glass Fest

The 8th Annual Cayucos Sea Glass Festival was a big hit again this year, despite rainy skies on Saturday, the main day of the 3-day event. Thousands of people flocked to the festival, which was held in large tents in the Vet’s Hall parking lot. Dozens of vendors were on hand selling their artful creations — from necklaces, pendants and rings to wall hangings and more — using the bits of broken glass, molded and shaped by the sea and scattered across the globe. And after shopping, the attendees were treated to a dance show with beer and wine available, and featuring Burning James and Funky Flames, just what the doctor ordered on a rainy March day.  Photos by Neil Farrell
